Established in 1983, Business Boosters Ltd. started as a promotional products company in Trinidad & Tobago founded by Brenda Clarke (my mom!).
Breaking barriers as a female entrepreneur in an era when women owning businesses were uncommon, my mom's courage and vision set the foundation for the business's success. Over time, Business Boosters expanded our services and became a wholesale screen printing and embroidery supplier, serving the vibrant Caribbean market.
Following in her mother’s footsteps, Nicole Mauriello operates Business Boosters in the United States as a separate company to Business Boosters Ltd., along with her husband, Tom Mauriello. Together, they infuse business boosters with personal expertise and robust experience working with Fortune 500 companies on visual branding, employee engagement and web design.

Nicole didn't just build Business Boosters — she named it.
Nicole came up with the name ‘Business Boosters’ after an experience she had when she was only a teenager. Her mother, Brenda Clarke decided to leave her job because she had dreamed about one day opening a company of her own. After hearing her mother describe what she envisioned for her fledgling company, Nicole found a name that would stand the test of time.
Nicole’s early instinct for branding turned out to be a career.
Nicole earned a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, then worked within demanding creative and operational environments. At Bailey Design Group in Philadelphia, she led packaging design projects for Fortune 500 clients including Alpo, Purina, and MacNeil Pharmaceuticals. At The New School for Social Research in New York she shaped the visual identity of the nationally respected university across every printed channel.
Hospitality had always been a parallel passion — one rooted in the rich food and culture of her childhood in Trinidad & Tobago. Nicole eventually transitioned into that world as well.
Working her way up to manage daily operations at Dock Street Brewery & Brasserie in Philadelphia — a 240-seat French brasserie and pioneering microbrewery — she worked alongside a Meilleur Ouvrier de France chef and oversaw a team of more than 45 staff members.
The combination of formal design training, Fortune 500 brand experience, and high-volume operational leadership is what makes Nicole's approach to promotional branding different.
Nicole founded the U.S. version of Business Boosters in 2015, bringing her mother's original vision into a new market with a sharper creative lens and strategic branding and digital services. Her unique perspective treats branded merchandise not as a commodity purchase — a genuine extension of a company's identity and one that holds a distinct place within the broader marketing mix.
Business Boosters is woman-owned and New Jersey-based, certified SBE/WBE/MWBE, and has served clients including Google, CityMD, Hayward, and Cengage.

Tom's passion for design, technology, and branding runs deep — and it shows in everything Business Boosters produces.
His superpower is helping organizations understand what they look and feel like in the digital world, often before they fully realize they need to think about it. Often a complex and deep process, he refers to his discovery process as "reading tea leaves" — a careful, intuitive act of listening to an organization's story and challenges. Through a disciplined process that is fundamental to his team's approach, he translates what he hears into bespoke visual and digital solutions that increase competitiveness.
That ability didn't come from a single discipline. Tom's background spans corporate brand development, UX design, and digital strategy — built across decades of work with some of the most demanding clients in energy, healthcare, and consumer goods.
Prior to founding his own agency, Tom worked at corporate print and identity firms in New York on design and digital products for organizations across banking and utilities industries including Moody's, UBS, State Street, Goldman Sachs, TXU, PECO, Exelon, ComEd, and Cameron.
Tom founded Corporate Voice in 1999, a digital brand implementation agency built around a single idea: that brands needed to come online without losing their identity in the process. He oversaw digital brand programs for some of the most recognized names in consumer goods and healthcare, including Schering-Plough, Merck, Bayer, Unilever, and Procter & Gamble. He also founded CIAMSYS — a Corporate Identity Asset Management System — which gave brands like the American Lung Association and Nikon the tools to manage and extend their visual assets online without requiring technical expertise.
At Business Boosters, Tom brings that same rigor, curiosity and breadth of experience to every engagement — whether that's shaping a brand from scratch, designing a digital experience, or making sure the strategy behind a client's promotional program is as strong as the creative work itself.
